An hour together, wherever you are.
A virtual session is one hour, one on one with Steve Del Savio, from anywhere in the world. The work travels well, because most of it is for the human: the energy you bring, the way you hold the leash, the moment you open the door. A camera carries all of that faithfully. Your dog only has to be home.
The method, brought to your door.
This work was built in New Jersey, and for years the families of the region have come to the ranch for it. Virtual sessions carry it further. Wherever you live, the same one on one training arrives through your screen, tailored to your dog's needs and taught by the behavior experts who practice it every day among the pack.
It gives up none of the attention. One human, one dog, one hour with Steve.
Book, meet, practice.
A session is one hour. We go over what is troubling the household and build a plan for your situation, and you learn the fundamentals of dog psychology without leaving the house. The training you and your dog receive is tested, proven and made to last.
Choose your hour
Sessions are booked directly on Steve's calendar, in whatever time zone you call home.
Meet on camera
One hour, one on one, with your dog beside you at home. We go over what troubles the household and watch it where it actually happens.
Leave with a strategy
Before the hour ends you have a plan built for your particular situation: what to do differently, and in what order.
Practice what changed
Short, calm, daily practice is where the change takes hold. With commitment and consistency from you, joined to a plan customized to you both, the balanced relationship you have always imagined becomes the everyday one.
Choose an hour that suits you.
Virtual sessions are booked straight to Steve's calendar. If you would rather talk it through first, we are glad to.
“It’s not just the dog. It’s also the human behind the dog and the relationship between.”
Steve Del Savio, Founder
We train you to bring out your dog's true self.
Every human, dog and situation is different, so every relationship needs a custom plan, drawn from the human's energy, the dog's energy, the relationship between them and the unwanted behaviors being shown.
Most unwanted behavior begins with a human who was never shown how dog psychology works. Once you understand it, and apply it with your own dog, it becomes clear to the dog how to behave with their human leader. Dogs instinctively know how to follow a calm and confident leader. We guide you to become that leader in the way your dog sees the world, and your dog's true spirit comes through.
Change the things that had your dog leading, and the dog changes with you. The unwanted behaviors disappear.
Protection
Leadership in the dog world begins with protection. We want your dog to feel safe, in your home and out in the world, under a leader they trust.
Direction
We want your dog to understand clearly what is expected of them, in all situations. That is what it means to truly fulfill a dog's instinctual needs.
Love
Affection, offered to a calm, happy, well-behaved dog who feels safe and understood. It is the reward of the first two, for both of you.
As ever, the work asks for commitment and consistency from you, following through at home on what you learn together.
Trained where the habits live.
Most of what unsettles a home happens in its ordinary moments. The leash comes off its hook. The doorbell rings. Dinner reaches the table. On camera we watch those moments where they actually happen, and we change what the human does first. The dog follows.
We train you to handle unwanted behaviors in these everyday, real-world situations, so that you feel confident leading your dog in every part of your life.
That is why the hour travels. From a city apartment to another continent, the work is the same, because you are there.
Taken at their word.
“We had been working with another trainer and we saw some improvements, but we were definitely missing something. One virtual call with Steve was a game changer!… we have never seen her this calm before!”
